Education is expensive

January 22, 2008

I just picked up my student transcripts at school today. I’ll be needing them for those scholarships and college apps. At our school, the 1st transcript is free, then each one after that is $2. I was sad to see my $6 go away…I can only imagine the pain I’ll feel when it comes time to pay tuition! :(

In other news…I’m feeling quite lonely at the moment. :( A few days ago the boyfriend & I had another scuffle. Over what, I can’t even remember. But he suggested that we take a week-long “break” from each other. Needless to say, that’s really the last thing a long-distance couple needs, but I guess we needed it. The only way we’re able to communicate is through phone, text messages, e-mail, & MySpace. So not being able to talk to him through either of them makes me feel like I’m out of his life or something. Oh yeah, did I mention tomorrow is our 1 year & 7 month anniversary? It’s probably gonna be the first anniversary where we won’t be wishing each other a happy one.

Time for Tina’s Tuesdays!

  1. What was the last thing you bought? Besides those high school transcripts? A bag of mini Chips Ahoy! chocolate chip cookies. At our school, we have a thing called “senior cut”; if you have your student ID card (that proves you’re class of ‘08) you can cut in the lunch line in front of all the other underclassmen. :D Unfortunately today, I forgot my ID card at home, and I wasn’t about to stand in a five mile (really exaggerating) lunch line. So, I went for the next best thing: vending machines. :/
  2. What things do you have on your list to buy? I really wanna take advantage of the sales going on at Victoria’s Secret. But something’s telling me to resist…only because they have a semi-annual sale every month. :|
  3. What was the most expensive purchase you have ever made? I think it was this computer. My parents agreed to pay for half of it if I did the same. Although I can’t remember how much that was seeing as how it was nearly four years ago. Next on the list would be a black iPod video for my sister’s birthday, which was also some time ago. Aren’t I sweet? :P

Oh yeah. R.I.P. Heath Ledger. Why do all celebrity deaths have to be so random? :/

New Year, New…Blog.

January 9, 2008

Thank you Miracle Pie for reminding me that my blog has been dead, LOL! You know, bloggers lie. They always say that they have nothing to blog about, knowing they could probably write a novel about the things they’ve done in the past few days. I’m one of them. But! I’m not pursuing a career in writing books, so I’ll spare you the excessive details.

Over Christmas break (or “holiday break”, I should say) Devan came to visit. The last time we saw each other before that was during the summer, so you can probably guess that me being excited was an understatement. We spent New Years doing a whole lot of nothing (unless you count us slow dancing in the living room…in our pajamas…while my sister was watching “Dreamgirls”), which was fine by me as long as we were doing nothing together. Basically it was the most fun & happiest I’d been since the summertime. But good things come to an end eventually. School’s back in session & I probably won’t see him again until Spring Break. Sad times =(

Speaking of school, it’s the last semester of high school! Yay! I guess. I’m so not ready to grow up. I have yet to apply for any colleges or even fill out my FAFSA form. Woe is me.

Since I haven’t been blogging, I haven’t been reading up on any either. I was so shocked when I went to Sheena’s blog to find out that she’s expecting, so congrats girl! Oh yeah, I predict that Jayden will be a very popular name in the years to come…considering it’s the name I want for my own (as-yet-to-be-conceived-and-won’t-be-for-many-years) son. LOL!

I’m off to check MySpace & Facebook…ciao!
